The opening of the coronavirus outbreak data by the Ministry of Health and Santé Publique France has had a significant impact on the reuse community.
These last three months mark an absolute traffic record for data.gouv.fr: 1.2 million visits in March, as many in April, 1.8 million in May (three more than in May 2019).
The number of reuses submitted on the platform increased to about 50 reuses submitted in March and 107 in April, mostly based on Santé publique France data related to the COVID 19 outbreak.
These indicators testify to the usefulness of open data in times of crisis, as well as to the commitment and mobilization capacities of the community of producers and reusers.
