In May 2017, 45.8 million individuals aged 15 and over connected to the Internet at least once during the month from a computer, mobile and/or tablet, representing 87% of French people.
37.7 million people (72% of the population) do this every day.
The cell phone is becoming the Internet screen of everyday life. Half of the French population, i.e. 26.5 million people, use it every day to access the Internet.
This predominance of the mobile is even more pronounced among 15-24 year olds: 62% of them use it every day to access the Internet. The computer and the tablet are outdistanced, with respectively 27% and 15% of French people in this age group using them daily.
