The professional title of "Digital Mediator Advisor", well known to digital public spaces (EPN) animators, will be replaced, in July, by a new professional title: "Digital Mediation Space Manager".
The new professional title is now listed in the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (National Directory of Professional Certifications): as of July 13 and for a period of five years.
It defines, for this professional title, three "blocks of competence":
- Accompany different audiences towards autonomy in the use of digital technologies, services and media;
- Contribute to the development of a digital mediation space and its projects;
- Contribute to the management of a digital mediation space and lead its collaborative projects.
An expansion of the missions
The new wording of the job description considerably broadens its missions.While the digital mediator advisor's mission was to " implement mediation actions for users to promote their autonomy with digital practices, technologies, uses and services", the digital mediation space manager is entrusted with the mission of "managing, animating and developing a collaborative space of the third-party type (digital public space, fab lab, coworking space, etc.) proposing actions intended to promote the autonomous uses and practices of digital technologies, services and media for the general public. In connection with the actors of its territory, it facilitates the creation of cooperative projects built around communities of interest.
The three blocks of competences are associated with three Certificates of Professional Competence (CCP)CCP 1: Accompany different audiences towards autonomy in the use of digital technologies, services and media)- Develop mediation programs that facilitate the appropriation of digital knowledge and uses.
- Design and produce educational and documentary resources for various media.
- To welcome different publics, to inform them and to propose actions of digital mediation.
- Prepare and lead individual and collective mediation actions in different digital environments
- Carry out a territorial diagnosis of digital needs.
- Contribute to the development and financial sustainability of a digital mediation space.
- Develop partnerships and collaborations with local actors.
- Promote a digital mediation space and its projects through internal and external multi-channel communication.
- Contribute to the administrative and accounting follow-up of a digital mediation space.
- Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the digital equipment of a digital mediation space.
- Facilitate and support collaborative projects in physical and remote communities.
