As part of the National Mobilization for the Inhabitants of Neighborhoods, the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion has just published the list of the 44 winning projects 15 million call for expressions of interest, launched last February, which will enable associations to develop their solutions on a larger scale in the city's political districts. The aim is to " federate a network of associations working for the republican success of young people in these neighborhoods,"said Julien Denormandie, Minister to the Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities, responsible for Cities and Housing.
Among the selected associations, several are deploying digital projects or are recognized actors of digital mediation.
French association of the small resourceful
The Petits Debrouillards is the leading national network for popular education in science and through science, with 19 regional associations, 58 branches and territorial relays, 200 permanent employees and 2,000 volunteer animators. Digital education is one of the three axes of the Petits Débrouillards movement's associative project: "with the objective of giving everyone access to these technologies at the service of citizenship and shared knowledge".The Petits débrouillards movement, through its regional branches, conducts a whole series of projects around code education (the Petits débrouillards are partners with Inria on the class'code project), digital manufacturing, connected objects(better understanding of the Internet of Things to use it intelligently), content production (web creation, collaborative mapping, video making, collaborative writing), understanding social networks and media education
Emmaus Connect
Since 2010, Emmaus Connect has been working to reduce digital exclusion. In the beginning, the association offered the most disadvantaged people top-up phone cards and Internet access at social rates via the "Connexions Solidaires" program. In 2015, in connection with the gradual dematerialization of administrative procedures, the association was led to structure digital support in the form of thematic workshops ("caf", "employment" or "banking"). These educational workshops aim at acquiring basic skills and getting to grips with the main websites and applications that are useful in everyday life. This support is offered in the reception points but also within social and associative structures thanks to financing from partners. The association also develops services (evaluation tools, maps, training) for social actors and public service operators to better support them in the era of 100% online.LePoleS
LePoleS is an association for professional integration and digital training active in the priority neighborhoods of the city policy in Ile-de-France. Its actions, the mobilization of economic integration schemes and the implementation of popular education actions have enabled it to employ more than 200 job seekers in 2017, the majority of whom live in working-class neighborhoods. In 2016, its "Ma6TVaCoder" program obtained the Grande Ecole du Numérique label for the opening of Web Schools in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, Pantin, Vitry-sur-Seine, Gonesse, Chelles, Paris 18e, Poissy. Its Web Schools offer a 10-month employment/training course as part of a work integration program.
With the opening in 2017 of FabLabs backed by its Web Schools, LePoleS has designed the first third-party places in the heart of working-class neighborhoods dedicated to professional training and digital education. Pole S is now working on setting up digital mediation workshops for neighborhood residents.
Unis-Cité
Unis-Cité is an association created in 1995 to offer young French people the opportunity to commit themselves for a period of their lives to the general interest. Since 2010, this commitment is part of the "Civic Service". Unis-Cité mobilizes young people on two types of civic service missions: missions of national scope responding to major societal causes and local projects responding to priority social needs. Unis-Cité has established partnerships with many local authorities around digital mediation: recruitment and training of civic service volunteers. Since 2018, in Loire-Atlantique, 16 volunteers between the ages of 16 and 25 have been participating in the deployment of an itinerant public service providing access to digital procedures. With the support of AG2R La Mondiale, Unis-Cité deploys nearly 200 volunteers in 20 territories to facilitate the digital inclusion of seniors. Unis-Cité also runs the Media and Information Ambassador program "which aims to promote, alongside libraries, a civic practice of digital media among young people".Wimoov
Initially focused on carpooling, Wimoov (ex-Voiture & co) has gradually expanded its scope around two key issues: the promotion of daily mobility accessible to all and the support of the public towards autonomous and sustainable mobility. Wimoov is developing mobility platforms that meet the needs of people in vulnerable situations in urban, suburban and rural areas. Its platforms support more than 11,000 people a year, including people in professional integration, but also people with disabilities and senior citizens.Priority expression zone (Zep)
Created in 2013, the ZEP is a web media carried by a team of professional journalists who support young people "in their desire to testify, to 'tell their story', but also to take hold of current events as well as all the subjects that concern them" . To this end, the ZEP sets up and runs editorial conferences and writing workshops via a network of popular education associations, schools, student associations and other structures dedicated to young people such as the local Missions. Coming from all social backgrounds and all regions, the young contributors, most of whom are between 15 and 25 years old, provide stories in the form of texts, drawings, photos or videos that give an original, diverse and lively panorama of youth in France. Zep is a partner of France Inter and the daily newspaper Libération.Références :
