Ten months after the (re)deployment of the shared medical record (DMP), 7 million records have been created, according to the French National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam).
- 45% of general practitioners consult the DMP (compared to 20% at the end of 2017). They are now 20% adding documents to it compared to 6% at the end of 2017.
- Three quarters of them recognize that the DMP can promote the coordination of care between different health professionals. 77% believe that this service will make it easier to deal with emergency situations and will help avoid unnecessary examinations that have already been requested or carried out by colleagues.
- Of those who use the service, 76% have a positive opinion of it
- There has also been a marked increase in the number of DMPs opened by pharmacists: 89% of pharmacists offer to open DMPs in their pharmacies, and 85% say that they have received requests from patients to open an DMP.
The possibility of consulting one's DMP on a smartphone or tablet has been made possible by a mobile application that has just been updated to make it easier to find or add a document.

- The CNAM has announced the implementation of an Ameli platform designed to " feed the shared medical record (DMP) with data from connected medical devices or applications that cannot yet be interconnected with the record".
- According to a survey carried out by BVA on behalf of the CNAM, 58% of respondents said they had already heard of the DMP: 61% gave a score of between 7 and 10 out of 10 to their interest in the DMP.
- Forty-three percent of them rank the benefits of having a DMP as being " the usefulness of the service in case of emergency" and 21% " always having your medical records with you, even when you're on vacation". For 14%, the main argument is to be able to " quickly find a medical document, such as your last blood test".
