As we mentioned in our article"2016: a turning point for the opening up of survey data on digital usage", the various observatories that produce surveys and barometers on digital usage have opted for Open Data.
The Agence du Numérique has just published on the data.gouv.fr portal a first file listing the main data sets related to digital uses available in Open Data.
This file gathers data from regional digital barometers as well as thematic national surveys. It covers the period 2007-2017. A total of 13 initiatives are listed, i.e. a total of 47 surveys distributed by year. The links to the open data portals are indicated.
Of the 6 regional barometers with open data:
- the one of the Rhone-Alpes Region proposes updated data every year from 2008 to 2014 (except 2011)
- the latest data are from 2014 (3 regions)
- each Region has created its own Open data portal
- the perimeter is that of the former Regions (before 2016)
- all are online on the data.gouv.fr portal, except for INSEE which opens the data on its own portal insee.fr
- 2 initiatives provide data prior to 2011: the ICT household survey (INSEE) and the digital barometer (ARCEP/CGE). In addition, these initiatives produce updated data every year.
- 4 initiatives publish data from household surveys on representative samples of French society
- 3 initiatives publish their activity data: Use of digital public services (SGMAP), Government web audience data (SIG), and Observatory of the domain name market in France (AFNIC)
The table below allows you to view the data available on the file produced by the Laboratory. The original file is available in excel or csv.
