Since March 2018, the platform Démarches-simplifiées.fr allows administrations and local authorities to put online, very quickly and at very low cost, the procedures still managed on paper or to replace old and expensive online services.
The use of démarches-simplifiées.fr by an administration ensures a saving of 10 to 20 k€ per procedure.
In just a few months, 4,208 procedures have been or are in the process of being dematerialized. 1,099 administrations and communities use this platform.
In September 2018 alone, the tool saved nearly 15,000 users from having to file paper applications.
As of January 4, there were 117,074 files submitted and processed through démarches-simplifiées.fr.
In the first rank of most used proceduresAmong the most frequently used procedures are the transmission of urban planning documents, the form for the accessibility certificate of a public building, university registration, requests for a practical driving test, and the reactivation of the NEPH number (Harmonized Prefectural Registration Number) required to take the driving test.
"Tell us once"
This dematerialization kit allows you to generate a form and its treatment process (input fields, designation of an agent in charge of the instruction, etc.) in a deliberately sober and generic format.- It relies on FranceConnect and on the State's computer programming interfaces (APIs): APIs for companies, individuals, map data, Insee data, Infogreffe, DGFIP and the national register of associations.
- FranceConnect and the State's APIs allow for partial auto-filling as soon as a file is created, in keeping with the "Tell us once" commitment, which consists of getting the information as much as possible from where it already exists.
- Thanks to collaborative functionalities and an integrated messaging system, administrations and communities can request additional documents from citizens, or co-create a file with the agents concerned.
- On the user side, the platform streamlines all interaction with administrations, first by reducing the number of pages of Cerfa forms or additional documents requested (retrieved via an API), and then by opening the possibility, via a dashboard of current files, to follow the decisions taken by the various instructors concerned for each of them.
The list of dematerialized procedures is published online, as well as the list of procedures being digitized.
