"Since the beginning of the health crisis, 83% of French companies have purchased new digital equipment to ensure the continuity of their remote activities, and 33% do not know what happened to their old equipment. Yet 8 million people in France are cut off from essential Internet access due to a lack of resources to equip themselves.
In light of this, Emmaus Connect is launching LaCollecte.tech, a solidarity platform designed to collect donations of equipment from companies (old laptops, tablets and smartphones) and give them a second life.
Goal: to help 50,000 people during the health crisis and beyond. The appliances are reconditioned in solidarity companies by employees in integration.
Social structures then provide the recycled material at a fair price and accompany people in difficulty in their use.
This initiative brings together Emmaus Connect, Ateliers Sans Frontières and Les ateliers du bocage, with the support of SFR and the Hauts-De-France Region.
