Five years after its launch, FranceConnect is now adopted by more than 30 million users.

The main reason for this new acceleration, according to the Interministerial Directorate of Digital: "FranceConnect is the key to retrieve its certificate of vaccination anti-Covid, on the official website of the Health Insurance attestation-vaccin.ameli.fr. The French are using it massively, and this new FranceConnect approach has enabled more than 3 million new users over 3 months, between June and August 2021".

The average number of monthly connections has almost doubled in one year: from 10 million in 2020, it has increased to more than 18 million monthly connections at the end of September 2021.

The French are using it more and more often: at the end of 2020, 8 million of them used it more than 4 times a year. At the end of September 2021, there were 12 million of them.

1000 public and private FranceConnect services

• 900 administrative procedures are accessible via FranceConnect: 69% of the 250 most frequently used procedures.
• Job seekers can now connect to their personal Pôle emploi space via FranceConnect. 7 million users are concerned.
• Since the end of February, the FranceConnect button has also simplified the life of parents who employ a childminder or a home-based childminder. The 800,000 users of the Pajemploi website (which allows parents to entrust the Urssaf with the entire process of paying their employees and to immediately receive the family benefits to which they are entitled) can use it to connect to their personal space and complete their procedures.
• FranceConnect now allows you to make an online request for a proxy for the elections.

803 local authorities are already using FranceConnect to simplify their citizens' connection to their online portal. As part of the stimulus plan, the State encourages local authorities to integrate FranceConnect to simplify the connection to local portals:

In addition to administrative procedures, FranceConnect provides access to certain private services: banks, insurance companies, mutual insurance companies and energy suppliers. "In order to strengthen this dynamic and encourage its use, the State is offering an additional year to companies in the health, social, education, transport, property and vehicle rental sectors to join the FranceConnect experiment.

An extension of FranceConnect called FranceConnect+ (which is based on a more demanding identity verification) now allows more complex or critical operations such as opening a bank account or sending electronic registered letters.

As announced during the 6th Interministerial Committee for Public Transformation of July, the source code of FranceConnect will soon be opened by the Ministry of Public Transformation and Civil Service.

National rollout of the digital service Aidants Connect

As part of the digital inclusion component of the stimulus plan, the Aidants Connect service will be generalized by the end of 2021.

Now incubated within the French National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, this digital service is aimed at professional caregivers, whether they are social workers, receptionists in France Services accredited structures, etc.

After a trial run in 2020, the wider deployment of the service will take place in territorial waves. It will be carried out in the following stages:

• Application for accreditation by the structures that wish to do so via an online window;
• Mandatory training for all caregivers who wish to be accredited (duration: 1.5 days) paid for by the ANCT;
• Creation of accounts for empowered (trained) caregivers.
