In its latest issue, Réseaux magazine looks at the economic models, uses and pluralism of online information
"The development of online "citizen journalism", the multiplication of tools, services, digital uses, grafted in particular on contributory and participative platforms (self-publishing, social media, crowdfunding...), offer new possibilities to collect, produce, enrich, finance, disseminate and access diversified information. These factors (...) also favor new informational practices linked to the ease of accessing, sharing and publishing information online through digital social networks. However, this pluralism of content and sources is not in itself synonymous with quality information. The contributors to this issue of Réseaux, set out to "analyze the relationship between, on the one hand, the economic models of production and consumption of online information and, on the other hand, the pluralism and quality of information in a context of intense debate, particularly because of the exorbitant place and power of digital platforms".
