Researchers from the GIS Marsouin conducted an investigation, entitled " Capuni crisis " during confinement. " They observed whether digital tools have helped us adapt our existences to the demands of confinement or whether they have, on the contrary, made our confined daily lives more painful."
Supported by the Region of Brittany and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, "CAPUNI crisis" specifically questioned 1,500 Bretons and 1,000 nationals. Here are the first national results.
Telecommuting39% of French people feel they are "less efficient" than usual, while 28% feel they are more efficient and 33% "equally efficient". The quality of the Internet connection influences whether or not they feel efficient: teleworkers who are not satisfied with their connection are more likely to say they are "less efficient". But the feeling of working less efficiently while teleworking is mostly explained by the feeling of having less work than usual. This suggests that "boredom out" is at least as much of a threat to confined workers as "burn-out".
Empowerment21% of French people feel that they know how to do more things with digital technology since the confinement. Overall, it is those who feel they have been "more connected" than usual who declare themselves to be in a situation of empowerment. These are mostly French people with degrees (> 2 years of higher education: 31%) and who telework (31%).
It is worth noting that homeschooling has also educated adults! We thus discover that parents who say they are "very involved" in their children's schooling during confinement now believe they know how to do more things with digital technology (40%).
School at homeStill on the subject of homeschooling, but this time on the subject of difficulties related to the implementation and operation of homeschooling, the CAPUNI crisis data indicate that 17% of parents involved in homeschooling have experienced difficulties (related to monitoring and/or technology).
9% of concerned parents indicate that the academic difficulties they encounter are related to the use of technology.
11% of the parents concerned indicate that the school difficulties are related to school follow-up. Almost all respondents point to the absence of a teacher.
Exemption certificateTo get out of their homes during the lockdown, the French mostly decided to download and print out certificates of exemption from their homes (43%). They also, but to a lesser extent, downloaded official certificates on their smartphone (22%), cut out certificates from the newspaper (15%) or used already printed certificates (12%).
