Inserm and the University of Paris have just launched a free service, AlloCovid, which can be accessed with a simple telephone.
The telephone number, 0 806 800 540, allows you to talk to a voice assistant and find out if you are likely to be a carrier of the virus.
Designed by doctors, researchers, but also experts in epidemiology, alloCovid complements telephone services such as the 15 or Maladiecoronavirus.fr.
It allows, via a questionnaire of three minutes maximum, to be informed and well oriented, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, on what to do in case of symptoms, to stay at home, to call his doctor or, if necessary, to call without waiting the 15.
AlloCOVID will anonymously collect the data and transmit it to Santé publique France, in accordance with CNIL recommendations. The data collected in this way will be used to monitor the release from containment and immediately detect potential outbreaks.
Once the epidemic is over, the application will have a second life and will be proposed to transplanted or renal insufficiency patients.
On a voluntary basis, the voice robot will be able to call them regularly to ensure a medical follow-up and automatically detect alarming signs for their health.
This device is made possible by voice recognition technology, used to understand the person's speech, combined with artificial intelligence, in order to establish the diagnosis based on the answers to the questionnaire. In all, the robots can answer 1,000 people simultaneously.
AlloCovid is the result of a collaboration between Inserm, the University of Paris and two private companies: e-Voyageurs SNCF for engineering and Allo-Media, a start-up specialized in artificial intelligence).
