Jacqueline Gourault, Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities, and Julien Denormandie, Minister for Cities and Housing, unveiled on February 3 the names of the first 80 winning structures of the call for expressions of interest "territorial factories and digital factories".
In July 2019, the Government launched a call for expressions of interest (AMI) to encourage the dynamics of third places in the territories. Endowed with 45 million euros, it aims to identify by 2022, 300 territory factories, existing or planned, of which 150 will be located in priority neighborhoods of the city policy (QPV) and 150 in rural areas.
The State will thus support the regional factories with 75,000 to 150,000 euros over three years, while these structures consolidate their economic balance. The funding proposed by the State takes into account the services offered and the location of the facility.
Among them:
- 48 territory factories will benefit from the support of the State in order to become real "resource" places for the network of third places of the territory. A territory factory will thus have a role of pooling, focused on the creation of activities, cooperation between actors and local development, benefiting the whole ecosystem that animates the territory. These places will benefit from a seed grant from the State of up to 50,000 euros per year over three years;
- 32 local digital factories will offer a wide range of digital activities to local residents and professionals. In addition to a start-up grant of up to 50,000 euros per year for three years, they will be supported by a financial bonus of 100,000 euros per third-party location.
