Most of the France Services centers have maintained their activities at a distance since the beginning of the lockdown. They are responding to the everyday questions of the French people and are taking advantage of the situation to launch innovations, such as the telephone mandate or the development of a universal toll-free number to assist citizens in their administrative procedures.
Localtis, the newswire of the Banque des territoires reports that a good part of the 534 France Services houses that closed their doors at the beginning of the lockdown have maintained their activity thanks to teleworking.
To date, almost all of the network has responded to the survey we conducted," Sophie Duval-Huwart, director of the France Services program at the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT), told Localtis, " and of these respondents, 80% are still in business. All these structures have had to organize themselves to offer a remote reception, through teleworking when possible and depending on the equipment available to the agents concerned. These contacts by e-mail and telephone allow the citizens to be guided through the assistance available to them.
The main requests concern the monthly updating of rights with Pôle emploi (one of the nine partners of the houses) which, due to the crisis, can be done by telephone, the postponement of the tax return campaign from 9 to 20 April, the emergency provisions put in place by the government and information concerning health insurance and family allowances.
Many contacts are used to help citizens with their administrative procedures," explains Sophie Duval-Huwart, " and the network is also looking to speed up these procedures, through the implementation of a telephone mandate, allowing helpers to carry out procedures in the place of the citizen requesting them and thus avoiding referring him or her to the various operators concerned... We are testing the idea of a mandate that would be issued only once for up to one year."Another new feature is the participation of a hundred or so France Services agents on the toll-free number 01 70 772 372, which was set up at the end of March to help citizens with their online administrative procedures.
