290 million visits to Service-Public.fr in 2017

Summary

Service-public.frwhich celebrated its 17th anniversary in October 2017, has become the reference site for government users. The "Individuals" space is intended for the general public and mediators with users. The "Professionals" section (launched in April 2007) is specifically dedicated to small and medium-sized businesses and independent professions. The "Associations" section is aimed at associations.

Service-public.fr recorded 290 million visits in 2017 (40% of which were via mobile devices), exceeding the peak recorded in 2015.

According to the DILA (Direction de l'information légale et administrative)

  • nearly 3.7 million online procedures were carried out in 2017 from service-public.fr: mainly changes of contact details when moving house and applications for civil status certificates.
  • 53 million CERFA forms were downloaded during the year.
  • 772,600 service-public.fr personal accounts were opened during the year.
According to a survey of awareness, carried out on a sample of 1,057 people, representative of the French population aged 18 and over, 57% of those questioned said they use it to ask a question about an administrative formality. The main uses of Service-public.fr are for simple and clear administrative information (66%), on rights, obligations and procedures to be followed (65%).

In 2017, Service-public.fr offered new services to users:

  • possibility of subscribing to one or more service-public.fr practical information sheets;
  • new simulators (Simulator for the calculation of inheritance tax; on the tense zones);
  • development of guided search which allows direct access to content adapted to one's personal situation;
  • personalization of the situation for the "I'm moving" simulator;
  • opening to users of the online procedure for preparing to conclude a PACS
